Situated in Midtown Manhattan, The 29-floor building, once known as The Hotel Beverly, was originally established in 1927 with a stunning exterior designed by Emery Roth. In 1997, Denihan Hospitality Group acquired the building, and re-launched it in 1999 as their first luxury hotel property, The Benjamin Hotel, after investing $30 million to preserving its interior and exterior details.
The hotel is Centrally located on Lexington Avenue and 50th Street, guests are close to Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal and a few avenues from MoMA (Modern Museum of Art).
Over the past three years, starting in 2010, The Benjamin has undergone a top-to-bottom remodeling and redesign. There is an abundance of light, with colors brightened and lightened, in tandem with high contrast of dark woods surrounded by lighter lacquer, white leather and subtle yet sophisticated accents.
